For directional analysis, aim for at least 100 survey responses in the period you are reviewing. Larger samples matter even more when filtering by device, customer type, or other segments.
POS surveys typically generate the highest volume because they occur earlier in the journey and in real time. Fulfillment surveys usually generate a lower volume, which is normal, but it means FF trends may take longer to stabilize. Sample size (n) is shown throughout the platform; use lower-volume results directionally.
Adding Straight-to-Fulfillment (STFF) to Improve Volume
If your Fulfillment volume is consistently low, consider adding Straight-to-Fulfillment: customers who skip the POS survey receive a direct email invitation to complete the FF survey. This boosts volume and keeps fulfillment data up to date. Available on all plans – contact your account manager to enable it.
A Note on Comment Volume
When reviewing comment trends, always consider the volume of substantive comments behind the view. Smaller comment sets can still surface useful patterns, but treat them as directional. Larger date ranges and heavily filtered views generally require more comment volume to achieve a stable read.
