  • We and our service providers collect Personal Information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Collection of Other Information
  • We and our service providers may collect Other Information in a variety of ways, including:

    Certain information is collected by most browsers or automatically through your device, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Mac), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version and the name and version of the Services (such as the App) you are using. We use this information to ensure that the Services function properly.

  • Your use of the App.

    When you download and use the App, we and our service providers may track and collect App usage data, such as the date and time the App on your device accesses our servers and what information and files have been downloaded to the App based on your device number.

  • IP Address.

    Your IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your browser by your Internet Service Provider. An IP address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user accesses the Services, along with the time of the visit and the pages visited. We use IP addresses for purposes such as calculating usage levels, diagnosing server problems, and administering the Services. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address.

  • Cookies

    Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer that you are using. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Services, pages visited, site preferences, and other traffic data. We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience. We also gather statistical information about use of the Services in order to continually improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used, and assist us with resolving questions regarding them. We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals.   • Pixel tags and other similar technologies.

    Pixel tags. Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used to, among other things, track the actions of users of the Services (including email recipients), measure the success of our marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about usage of the Services and response rates.

    Analytics. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about use of the Services and report on activities and trends. This service may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps and online resources.   • Physical Location.

    We may collect the physical location of your device by, for example, using satellite, cell phone tower, or Wi-Fi signals.   • Children’s Privacy

    The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18).

    Additional Privacy Information

  • Sensitive Information. Unless we request it, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, or criminal background) on or through the Services or otherwise to us.
  • Security, Retention and Storage of Information. We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.   • EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Meredith adheres to the principles of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (“Privacy Shield Principles”) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union (“EU”) to the United States.   • Meredith is responsible for the processing of personal information it receives under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, or subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Meredith complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers from the EU and EEA, including onward transfer liability provisions.
  • The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over Meredith’s compliance with its obligations under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. In certain situations, Meredith may be required to disclose personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Meredith commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.   • IV. Financial Incentive Terms

    We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under California law. We do offer various financial incentives. For example, we offer discounts on subscriptions for magazines and other products and services or the opportunity to win a prize in return for completing surveys. If you are a member of Bizrate Rewards, you earn points that are redeemable for eGift cards at stores by completing surveys. When you take these surveys, we collect the following categories of information: identifiers (your email address and name) and the responses you provide. You can opt into this program by opting to take one of our surveys and submitting your responses or by joining the Bizrate Rewards program. If you opt in, you can later opt out by cancelling your membership in Bizrate Rewards, or if you are not a member of that program, by informing us that you would like to withdraw consent by emailing us at privacy@bizrate.com. In determining the value of this data, we consider the profit generated from providing certain data to our merchant partners, which is reasonably correlated to the discounts and other incentives we provide to consumers.

  • Rights for our Nevada Residents

    We do not sell your Covered Information as that term is defined under Nevada law. If you would like to request that Bizrate Insights, Inc., refrain from selling your Covered Information in the future, please contact privacy@bizrate.com.
