Bizrate Insights’ Abandonment Survey Methodology
Bizrate Insights provides three surveys in one. This survey branches to an in-depth question specific to the indicated exit point. Reports segments each group of respondents by exit point, making it easy to compare and contrast groups while also identifying actions to improve conversion. Furthermore, Bizrate gives the retailer the control over when and how often to issue the invitation.

Three surveys in one
Bizrate Insights’ abandonment survey branches at the point that the customer indicated they abandoned, in terms of interaction with the purchase process (none, cart or checkout). A specific question regarding abandonment is provided before the survey then rejoins to learn about future purchase intent. This allows retailers to analyze visitors as a whole or by segment of abandonment: visit, cart, or checkout.

Invitation control
With our newest code for abandonment we were able to incorporate our clients’ feedback to make this code easy to implement and with simple controls that are managed by the retailer. Our abandonment survey code allows the retailer to control the pages it appears on, how often the same visitor may be invited, the percent of pageviews that may be invited, and a choice of three sizes. The retailer can change this mix as often as necessary to achieve a balance of data collection and an uninterrupted site experience.
